Some nice things a bunch of great people did to help us
out and show their love for a new kind of talk radio.
"On the flip side, are Chris Daniel and Brad Geise on the Gray Area. It's on San Francisco's 106.9fm. On those days when I work 10+ hours, these guys were the light at the end of the poop chute for me. Deep rumbly voices, self-depreciating humor, good natured ribbing of callers, and a really bright phone screener.
Their callers range from truckers to geeks to drunken librarians--and they were all smarter, funnier and nicer than the best of the (Leykis') listeners. Chris and Brad constantly laugh at themselves, have interesting bits, and keep the conversation going. I've *never* heard them whine about Howard Stern or other DJs, they *never* talk about their income, and they actually seem to *like* women (gasp!).
Please 106.9FreeFM--PLEASE. Give Chris and Brad the 3-7pm drive time. For all that is good and right in this world.
They are sooooo Bay Area. You want to increase your listenership?
"Steve DiNardo's executive assistant declined to answer any questions, replying with embarrased laughter that she had no idea what the plans were for The Gray Area, and that she didn't know why Free FM programming wasn't airing, when the 1069FreeFM.com website clearly stated it would. Her response for every question asked was, 'That's a good question, and one that Steve should address.' "
